This 8,500 SF home in Aspen, CO took over years to complete and was approached with great respect for each of the unique materials used to make the home a retreat for the owner. Reminiscent of Arts & Crafts and Mission styling, the challenge was designing for a single young woman who gravitated to rich woods, textured fabrics and iron and copper metals. From the material selections of slates, granite, copper & forged iron - each tailored, durable and rich in quality. Caribbean Cherry and Honduras Mahogany finishes woven throughout, along with tumbled stones dated and certified over 1,000 years old from the streets of Jerusalem, great attention to detail was executed in every dimension. Working closely with her throughout each phase of design, made each purchase so meaningful and rich. Plaster walls illuminated with art lighting, chandeliers and sconces while antique Biedemeier pieces complimented the architectural framework of each space.
